The society is all about getting outside, we run Winter skills sessions and survival skills sessions. We also provide opportunities for you to meet people who share your interests in hillwalking, adventure sports, and travel.

IN THE HOSPITAL
Just because we are interested in the outdoorsy stuff does not mean hospitals don't come into all this, tropical medicine, military medicine, healthcare in low resource settings all require services beyond what can be delivered prehospitally.
TRANSFERABLE SKILLS
The thing is, once you get into medicine, get past the whole personal statement malarky sometimes it easy to forget that there are some things about medicine, that medical school simply won't prepare you for. To be a medic you need skills like leadership, courage, communication and resilience. Things that come from insight, experience and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone with opportunities well beyond the library doors
